Stay healthy and be wealthy with us. Read our post from time to time and learn from our advice.There is no such better life without a good health. Health is the most important thing for a better life but still neglected. People would rather prefer to run after money and other material things than their own health.
Let's discuss how we live better and what is good and what is bad for our health, and of course for our society health as well. Merely an absence of disease does not necessarily mean that you are healthy. It's true that sometimes diseases strike us when we least expect it even when we do everything right as far as staying healthy is concerned.Indeed, a wise man once truly said "Health is Wealth", for there is nothing worse than feeling ill at ease. Illness and diseases not only make you dependent on others, they also rob you of your zest for life. Why not take measures to ensure a long, happy, self sufficient and healthy life? This section shall bring in the best of the thoughts, ideas, and simple tips to help you do just that!
Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship....To keep the body in good health is a duty...otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear - Gautama Buddha
Silent Killer of Eye Sight
Almost every one knows that diabetes affects eyes, kidneys, heart etc. The way the eye is affected is so silent that by time the patient realizes most of the vision is lost, it is too late to recover the vision that is lost. The treatment then on is to save the vision that is left. Therefore all diabetic patients must get their eyes tested every six months once they are pronounced that they have diabetes and every 3 months once the eye is affected with diabetes, the so called diabetic retinopathy.
To understand Diabetes you can look into internet or read papers and articles on diabetes. Here it is enough to say that there are two types of diabetes, insulin required and non-insulin required i.e. tablets or diet controlled.
In this article I want to explain that the term DED should be ringing in the ears of all diabetic patients.
D for Diet|| |
E for Exercise |
D for Drugs. || |
I tell them diet control is better that the medicines that they take. It is important to consult a dietician and take proper diet, especially not eat sweets even in festive mood. After the emergence of bariatric surgery i.e. surgery to reduce weight, it was proved that diabetes disappeared after this surgery, proving that food to intake has lot to diabetes, therefore diet control is extremely important…. Exercise is the most important part of diabetic patient's life and wearing good walking shoes is part of this exercise. And lastly taking drugs that are given, on a regular basis, by our diabetologist and getting blood and urine examined on a regular basis is very important.
Another D that I would share with a diabetic patient is Discipline. I explained to them that if you are disciplined and avoid smoking and following DED, God given span of life is never affected both in quality and quantity. If you have strong family history of diabetes please get your random blood sugar done evey6 months so that the diabetes can be detected earlier.
